Richard is a near native Tucsonan, a registered architect in California and Arizona, US Green Building Council LEED accredited professional and a LEED for Homes Green Rater. He has over 15 years experience with green building.
He initiated and oversaw the design and construction of the first LEED building in Arizona during his tenure as Director of Facilities Planning for Pima Community College. Rich also has experience as the project architect for LEED registered buildings, including a LEED Gold certified fire station. He is the Green Building Program Manager for Pima County Development Services and oversees the Regional Green Building Program, the LEED for Homes Program
and the new Net-Zero Energy Building Standard. Richard is active in the USGBC Arizona Chapter as a state board member and southern branch council member. He is a frequent presenter on green building topics.
