LEED for Homes Green Rater
Kirsten Shaw was green, even when it was just a color. She is an indoor environmental quality and energy efficiency consultant with over 25 years experience in the environmental sciences and what is now called “Green” building and living. As a principle of Advanced Energy Efficiency & Environmental Quality (AE3Q), she helps local businesses and homeowners enjoy the comforts and economic benefits of energy efficient and environmentally healthy buildings.
Ms. Shaw is a LEED for Homes Green Rater, and a Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC). She is an instructor and exam proctor for BPI Building Analyst, Multifamily Building Analyst, and Envelope Specialist, as well as HERS Rater trainer. She is an Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Certified Building Inspector and an EPA Lead Certified Renovator. She is a member of the national Green Committee for the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) and an Arizona Licensed General Contractor for Residential and Small Commercial buildings. Additionally, she holds an Arizona Community College Teaching Certificate in biology and has a master’s degree from Arizona State University in environmental science.
